Candace Haluska

RYT-200 Yoga Alliance
Candace began teaching in 2012 after completing her Teacher Training in Okinawa Japan while pregnant with her first child. However, her yoga journey started way back in 2006 while her husband was deployed to Iraq, she took her very first yoga class on base Camp Lejuene North Carolina. The sense of relief and grounding she felt in that very first class has continued to provide her with comfort and calm in a hectic Military Lifestyle for many years.
Candace has taught in several different settings, from studios in Virginia, to Gyms in Japan and Hawaii, to group volunteer work with Military members and their families.
You can find a welcoming smile, a “just do you” philosophy and a few bad jokes when attending one of Candace’s classes. Whether you are lying in savasana and breathing or jumping into a chatarunga you are practicing yoga. Candace hopes that everyone will feel welcome no matter if it’s your very first yoga class or your one thousandth.
“I feel blessed to have lived in many different areas of the world and to have met many different people. These opportunities have allowed me to work and practice in several unique settings, which have added great depth to my practice and the way in which I teach…”
Candace currently lives in Chesapeake VA with her family of five.
